Dr. Alexander J. Ricci is an ophthalmologist with his own practice in Fresh
Meadows, New York. Specializing in both surgical and medical treatments of the
eye, Dr. Alexander Ricci has spent the majority of his professional life in New
York City.
In 1977, Dr. Alexander Ricci graduated cum laude from St. Francis College in
Brooklyn, New York, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After receiving his
medical degree from the Universidad Xochicalco in Baja California, Mexico, and
completing a one-year internship, Dr. Ricci became certified to practice
medicine in the United States. Dr. Ricci completed the Fifth Pathway program,
for doctors who received their medical training abroad, at SUNY (State
University of New York) Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
In 1983, Dr. Ricci completed another one-year internship in internal medicine
at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn. After completing his residency in
ophthalmology at both North Shore University Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical
College in 1985, Dr. Ricci served as Chief Resident in ophthalmology from 1985
to 1986.
Once he finished his medical training, Dr. Alexander Ricci opened his own
medical practice in Fresh Meadows, in the New York City borough of Queens. In
addition to seeing patients at his office, Dr. Ricci performs eye surgeries at
several local hospitals, including the highly ranked New York Eye & Ear
Infirmary in Manhattan.
